Team GB, Olympic 5,000m runner & European Medalist
I started running at Primary School. It was always something I loved to do from a young age. At High School, I joined my local Athletics club and my journey into the sport really started from there!
My biggest achievement to date would be my Silver medal from the 5000m at the European Championships last year in Berlin. It was my first outdoor medal after winning European bronze indoors over the 3000m in 2016. I've also been to two Olympic Games - London 2012 and Rio 2016. I'd love to make it a third in Tokyo 2020.
I train twice a day every day. Mainly running but with a mixture of cross training too in order to reduce my injuries. I have a day off every 10 days or so. Running for me has always been a hobby and a way to escape. I love being outdoors, in the fresh air and really clearing my head! I'd say I'm driven by a motivation to become better, faster and stronger. I want to keep making improvements and to see just how fast my body can go. Every year, I look to get faster and hope that along the way that improvement brings me future medals and success too.
